Tickets on sale now for the June 6 fundraiser!‏

Please join us on June 6th for the annual DNPA fundraiser, “Young at Art,” an evening of art, food, fun and community. This event provides much needed support for classroom enrichment activities such as the Lawrence Hall of Science & Vivarium, teacher appreciation, and community events throughout the year.

Tickets will be sold during the tomato plant sale this week (drop-off and pick-up times) and also online via Square (mkt.com/ducksnestparents). Tickets are $50 each if paying via cash or check (make out to DNPA), and $52 each if purchasing online. Please also consider sponsoring a teacher’s ticket!

WHAT: A live and silent auction with music, food, and other festivities

WHEN: Saturday, June 6, 2015, 5 pm to 10 pm

WHERE: Duck's Nest 41st Street campus

WHO: Parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors, and the rest of the Duck's Nest community

Child Care: While the auction is for adults only, a special Parents' Night Out will be held at the nearby Duck's Nest Broadway campus. Watch for more information.

 To make the auction a success, WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are searching for volunteers to…

• Donate talents, services, or other items. If you have a skill or professional service to donate (e.g., career counseling, architectural services, massage, etc.) or can offer other special items (anything from a week at a vacation home to a month of backyard eggs to an evening of babysitting--there is no donation too big or too small!) • Donate a parent-hosted party. Among the most popular items at last year's auction were the parent-hosted parties. Can you host a backyard barbecue, a kids' movie night, or a playdate at a local museum? How about a wine tasting or a pizza party? Do you have a special skill that would make a great class for Duck's Nest kids or parents? The opportunities are endless--use your imagination! • Help solicit donations from local businesses. Have a tie to a local business or organization?
