I'd like to gather information on how many Duck's Nest parents are already bike commuting with their children. Whether you do it consistently, or just once a week, I'd love to hear from you. I have already been in touch with a few of you, to help gather some insight for an upcoming blog post, but if you haven't been in touch with me, please email me (littleferrier at hotmail dot com).
Also, I encourage you to participate in or donate towards "Ride For A Reason" - a community ride from Oakland to the State Capitol, aimed at drawing attention to the crisis in funding for education and raise funds for Oakland Public Schools. The event is May 16th and registration ends May 10th for either a 45 mile or 110 mile ride. Several Duck's Nest parents are participating this year - so please show your support!
