We do our best to keep up with a monthly newsletter to provide information about upcoming DNPA and community events, fundraisers, and give a little peek into what’s going on in all of the classes.  Want to learn more about something? Help Wanted:  Graphic Designer for our new Banner

The DNPA is on the hunt for a graphic designer who can help us create a DNPA fundraising banner. If you or anyone you know has graphic designing skills and would be willing to help create a banner for the DNPA, please email the DNPA!

When: Tuesday, February 18th from 5:45 PM to 7:30 PM

Tea Collection School Days of Fundraiser
“Tea Collection” makes unique and adorable boys, girls, and baby clothes to spark curiosity, connection, and community.  From February 23rd through March 8th, if you buy clothes at Tea Collection, you’ll receive 15% off and free shipping plus 15% will be donated back to Duck’s Nest. XCORE Workout Class
What: Fitness & Fundraising
When: Saturday, March 7 at 11:30 AM (arrive no later than 11:15 AM)
Where: Xcore Fitness Studio, 4435 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland (by Mountain View Cemetery)
How: Purchase a ticket, or sponsor a teacher. More info to follow!
Literacy Week 
Literacy week is April 20th through April 24th and the Literacy Week Community Event is Saturday, April 25th. More details to follow! 
Spring Family Event
The DNPA is in the process of organizing a Spring Family Event. Keep your eye out for a “Save the Date” email!

Coming in February:  Positive Discipline

Want to invite cooperation, responsibility, and help calm big emotions? Frustrated that your kids just won’t listen? Join us Tuesday, February 18th from 5:45 PM to 7:30 PM to learn from Julietta Skoog, a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer with degrees in School Counseling and School Psychology plus 15 years of experience in Seattle Public Schools. Dinner and childcare provided. Space is limited, so sign up here ASAP!

Erin Chan-Adams, mother of Quade (Wood Duck), has teamed up with Duck's Nest to start the Realtor Give-Back Program. Here's how it works:
Know of anyone buying or selling their home, investment property, or other real property? Maybe you, your friend, your neighbor? Then follow these two easy steps:

What’s the DNPA all about?

The DNPA is a non-profit organization run by parent volunteers of children attending the 41st St campus of Duck’s Nest Preschool.  The DNPA’s mission is to contribute to an enriching, safe and creative environment at Duck’s Nest Preschool and to foster a sense of kinship among the 41ST Duck’s Nest community of children, parents, teachers, administrators and the broader neighborhood.  Learn more about the DNPA here.
